What
What are Green Cubes?
Digital twin of biodiversity
Green Cubes is a revolution to forest monitoring, combining earth observation, lidar, insitu sensors and soil analysis to build rich living data sets into units we call Green Cubes.
Based on our science based methodology – enabled by technology – Green Cubes generates a 3D representation of the forest, where each cubic meter of measured rainforest is defined as a “Green Cube”; a sponsorable unit with attributes of health and biodiversity.

Health and biodiversity is dynamically defined, relative to both continuous and annual impact assessments. This is to ensure forest conservation and the protection of vital hotspots, characterised by a rich diversity of species, that are under severe threat due to human activity.
A sponsorable unit
Committed enterprises sponsor Green Cubes on an annual basis, actively contributing to the conservation of rainforests. Forest life is shielded by incentivising landowners to conserve their land.
What’s in it for enterprises?
Green Cubes is a sponsorable asset class and not an offset. By sponsoring Green Cubes, value is given to nature as landowners are provided with a sustainable revenue stream to replace the alternative of turning to deforestation as a means of revenue generation. Through measurement and visualisation, committed enterprises get transparent and trustworthy data of their sponsored Green Cubes.

Enterprises can access their Green Cubes via the management platform and get a virtual experience of the sponsored cubes in their specific location. This includes up to date data, forest live-streams, image updates, and a state-of-the-art virtual walk-around experience.

Biodiversity reporting is increasingly becoming part of ESG requirements, particularly with the EU’s introduction of CSRD reporting in January 2024.The sponsorship is annually renewed to match sustainability reporting requirements. Forest development is dynamically compared with the findings in the initial baseline report.

To support what kind of impact you could make we offer a Green Cubes calculator based on either employee head count or volume of occupied industrial premises.
Seamless impact reporting
Enterprises sponsoring Green Cubes can now meet the requirements for ESG engagement and play a proactive role in advancing biodiversity conservation.
The baseline report is the initial document generated, which includes a description of the current state of the forest based on best available knowledge. It also describes in detail the different actions that are going to be taken at the target location in the forthcoming year.

The Green Cubes platform provides a multi-dimensional digital engagement view of the forest, where delta reports are automatically generated on demand. The first of these delta reports is available once airborne LiDAR scanning is done, highlighting the total amount of Green Cubes within that section of forest.

The outcome report provides the information needed for ESG corporate governance reporting and sustainability reports, including a thorough analysis of the forest and the biodiversity delta, which, in simple terms, indicates the health of the forest compared to a year earlier.
